Poet, prose writer, researcher and translator of Spanish-language literature. Since 1974 he has published dozens of independent books of literary translations. Between 1974 and 1990 he was a column editor for the magazine <em>Nagyvil\u00e1g<\/em>. In 1990-1995 he served as a diplomat at the Hungarian Embassy in Madrid. Between 1996 and 2011, he was a professor at P\u00e1zm\u00e1ny P\u00e9ter Catholic University. From 2013 to 2020 he is editor of the MMA&#8217;s theoretical journal, <em>Hungarian Art.<\/em> He is a holder of the Spanish Order of Merit and the Order of Merit of Hungary. His most recent book is <em>Present, Elsewhere, Nowhere<\/em> (Poems, Poetry Translations, 2020).        <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Csuday Csaba was born in 1944 in Kassa.
