Sus propias obras para el escenario se han representado en el extranjero. Su novela Makra se ha traducido a 12 idiomas y ha vendido 1,2 millones de ejemplares en todo el mundo (Makra, 1972; Name Day, 1973; Rock Wall\/Grooms, 1976; Twenty-one, 1984; Family House with a Manzard, 1984). Su novela corta, El que se atreve gana, se public\u00f3 en b\u00falgaro en Sof\u00eda en 1984, y su novela Makra, tambi\u00e9n en b\u00falgaro, se public\u00f3 en 1988. Varias de sus obras se han publicado en franc\u00e9s, rumano, alem\u00e1n, checo, polaco, ruso, eslovaco, sueco, estonio, japon\u00e9s, espa\u00f1ol, etc. Sus principales novelas y obras de teatro reflejan la sociedad h\u00fangara de los a\u00f1os sesenta y setenta desde el punto de vista de los j\u00f3venes y las clases trabajadoras.
