Andrea Zsuzsanna Jeney

I am Andrea Jeney. I am an architect. Mother of two children. I was born in 1970 in Békéscsaba. I live in Budapest.

Although as a design engineer, I have been creating all my life, I started writing only a few years ago, when I was over fifty.
I first tried to learn the basics on my own, later I participated in the mentoring program of Tamás Ijjas and Miklós Véssey.
Currently I am studying with Krisztina Rita Molnár.

I won third place in the poetry category in the competition organised by Szófa in February last year and first place in December. In November 2023, my poem “Dancing Dust Grains” was chosen by Anna Szabó T. as the winner of the VELUX poetry competition “The Way of the Sun”.

So far, I have published mostly in online literary journals.
My first poem was published in the journal Irodalmi Jelen.
