Erzsébet Csicsery-Rónay, writer, literary translator, great-granddaughter of Mihály Zichy, painter. She grew up in the United States and now divides her time between Budapest and the village of Zala in Somogy County.

Erzsébet Csicsery-Rónay, writer, literary translator, great-granddaughter of Mihály Zichy, painter. She grew up in the United States and now divides her time between Budapest and the village of Zala in Somogy County.

The writer and translator also serves on the Peace Committee of the international writers’ association PEN. He is the author of numerous academic articles and his book A Guide to Hungarian Culture is a testament to his Hungarian identity.
