L. Simon László

László L. Simon László József Attila Award-winning Hungarian writer, poet, ballet dancer, editor, entrepreneur, politician.

Between 2004 and 2010 he was secretary of the Hungarian Writers’ Association, from 2010 he was a Fidesz MP, chairman of the Culture and Press Committee of the National Assembly, from October 2011 chairman of the Committee of the National Cultural Fund, from 18 June 2012 to 27 February 2013 he was State Secretary for Culture.

According to the 2016 Influence Barometer, he is the 32nd most influential person in Hungary. He lives in Agárd on the shores of Lake Venice.
