I was not trained as a writer. I got into writing while teaching literature. At first I thought it was an occupational hazard, a passing fad. Then I realized it was something else. Stories to tell. Stories that I have to turn into words, and that shape me in the process. For thirty years now, I have experienced first-hand that literature is a maze, a shelter, a playground. Hell. Purgatory. Paradise.
