Raoul Weiss is an Alsatian-born linguist, barman, literary translator, poet and publicist. Born in Alsace in 1975. He is a graduate of the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris and a former staff member of the Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca.
He publishes in Hungarian, Romanian and French. He began his career as an artist-translator in 2008, translating Lucian Blaga into French. His first novel, Eu l-am ucis pe Obama (“I killed Obama”), was published in Romanian by Tribuna magazine, also in Cluj Napoca, in 2013.
Her poetry in Hungarian made its debut in 2014 at a reading in Cluj-Napoca in honour of Sándor Kányádi. In his spare time, he dances, travels and threatens Romania’s national security.
