Csaba András Sütő was born in 1979 in Győr, and lived in his hometown until 2016. He studied in Győr, Szombathely, Szeged and Pécs. He is a teacher of Hungarian History, Hungarian Language and Literature, a humanities graduate and a teacher. He has taught at primary school and is currently a university lecturer at the Széchenyi István University of Győr, Faculty of Apáczai Csere János. He lives in Nagybajcs.
In addition to Hungarian, she speaks German and English, and has a state-recognised intermediate level certificate in both languages. Her research is in the field of contemporary Hungarian poetry. He is working on the poetry of Imre Oravecz, Ottó Tolnai and Árpád Tőzsér.
His literary activity developed in the 2000s. Since 2002, he has published poems, reviews and essays in Hungarian and international print and online journals (Kortárs, Magyar Napló, Hitel, Irodalmi Jelen, Napút, Spanyolnátha, Műhely, Magyar Műhely, Új Forrás, Életünk, Eső, Bárka, Pannon Tükör).
Seven books of poetry have been published so far (Spleen [2004]; Holy and incomprehensible [2006]; steep road [2007]; disintegration [2008]; AURA [2013]; non prose [2019]; come to the houses [2020]; I looked again [2021]His poems, reviews and studies appear in Hungarian and international journals.
He is a member of the Young Writers’ Association, the Hungarian Writers’ Association, the PEN Club Hungary, the Radnóti Literary Society and the Radnóti Memorial Committee. He is the founding President of the Hermaion Literary Society, founded in 2004, and currently Vice President. Founding editor, editor-in-charge and head of the critics’ column of the web journal Ambroozia, launched in 2010.
