He graduated from the Technical University of Budapest with a degree in Hungarian-English secondary school teaching, and is an “internationalist”.
Two men as different in their habitus as Imre Takács and István Vas helped me to find my way through the mysteries of poetry. I had the opportunity to study art translation in Marcell Benedek’s house in Farkasrét. Since 1980, his poems have appeared in Élet és Irodalom, the old and new Mozgó Világ, Kortárs, Életünk in Szombathely, Somogy in Kaposvár, and in daily newspapers and the Holmi.
His volumes are Temporary Monuments (1985), Golden Age, Silver Age, Vackor (2006). He translates from Arabic, English and Irish.
