He studied theatre and was a classmate of Péter Molnár Gál. He was at home among actors, filmmakers, writers and musicians.

G. Wells, Georges Simenon, Mario Soldati, G. K. Chesterton, Richard Hughes, James Thurber, Moravia, Ernst W. Heine, Hemingway, W. Somerset Maugham, etc.
